Not only will it be hard, but water at the county level will also fluctuate with the seasons as more minerals are introduced to counteract certain microbial developments during hotter months. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSo usually, we recommend starting with a blank slate. When you start with distilled water, you can blend minerals like these into a gallon at a time, establishing a great baseline for you to work off of. Not only is it a great baseline, but we evaluate our coffee at the lab level on these water blends, so you can try coffee at home the exact way we intended it by using these little packets. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDon't want to? A good alternative is buying Poland Spring brand water. We haven't dialed in a source yet for it - and we probably won't ever carry it - but that is always what I recommend when it comes to a good baseline water.
